At  Starting Pointe Counseling Services, we are passionate about developing the next generation of mental health professionals. Our practicum and internship program provides graduate-level counseling students with meaningful clinical experience in a supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.

Our practicum and internship experience is designed to help students build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and gain real-world experience working with diverse populations.

Students may have opportunities to:

Observe and participate in clinical sessions

Develop counseling and assessment skills

Learn ethical and professional standards

Gain experience with documentation and treatment planning

Receive supervision and mentorship from experienced clinicians

Explore evidence-based therapeutic approaches

Work with individuals, couples, families, and/or groups

Learn how private practice operate
