Kim Bruce, MS, RMHCI

Kim Bruce is a psychology doctoral student specializing in Behavioral Health Leadership and a postgraduate as a mental health counseling intern. He brings an evidence-informed, compassionate, and client-centered approach to supporting individuals as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and lifestyle-related challenges.

Kim’s approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-informed strategies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed skills, mindfulness, exposure-based approaches, faith-integrated support when requested by the client, strength-based counseling, and practical coping strategies. He works collaboratively with each individual to identify goals, recognize personal strengths, and develop skills that support meaningful and sustainable growth.

Kim takes a holistic approach to well-being by recognizing the connection between mental health, emotional regulation, daily routines, personal discipline, movement, and overall wellness. He helps individuals identify unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, strengthen coping skills, build confidence, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier routines that support their personal goals.

His wellness-focused approach may include conversations about movement, daily structure, stress management, healthy habits, motivation, and lifestyle changes that support emotional well-being. Kim does not provide personal training or exercise programming; instead, he helps clients explore realistic wellness habits as part of their broader behavioral-health goals.

With strong active-listening skills and a compassionate, nonjudgmental style, Kim strives to create a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and valued. He emphasizes genuine rapport, professional boundaries, client autonomy, and practical skill-building.

Kim’s goal is to help clients better understand themselves, manage life’s challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, build confidence, and make positive changes that support a more balanced and meaningful life.
